Abstract
The article uses the data of CGSS ( 2010 ) and statistical bulletin in cities to study the effect of economic growth and well-being on the participation in mass incidents .With demographics variables controlled ,the results are found that per capita GDP and the economic growth rate does not affect whether people will take part in mass incidents . Specifically unemployment rate has an effect on participation in mass incidents ,for the higher the unemployment rate ,the greater the chance of people participation in mass incidents .Price index has a significant effect on whether people will take part in mass incidents ,for the higher the price index ,the greater the chance of people to participate in the mass incidents in the region .Happiness has a significant influence on whether people will take part in mass incidents ,for the higher the happiness ,the less likely to participate in mass incidents .Further , the samples are divided into the low and the high according to the income .The results are found that the influence degree of the unemployment rate on low -income people is lower than that on high earners ,while the influence degree of the price index on low-income people is higher than that on high earners ,and the influence degree of the happiness on low-income people is lower than that on high earners .关键词
