Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of montelukast sodium combined with budesonide in the treat-ment of children with cough variant asthma (CVA). Methods 136 children with CVA treated in Longmen people’s hos-pital from August 2011 to September 2013 were selected and randomly divided into observation group (n=68) and con-trol group (n=68).Both groups of patients were given budesonide aerosol treatment and the observation group was given additional oral administration of montelukast sodium.The treatment effects between two groups were compared. Results After treatment,the symptom scores between two groups was reduced compared to that before treatment respectively (P<0.01),and FEV1,FEV1% and PEF increased compared to that before treatment respectively (P<0.01).After treatment,the symptom score of observation group was lower than that of control group (P<0.01),and FEV1,FEV1% and PEF of obser-vation group was higher than that of control group respectively (P<0.01).The disappearance time of symptoms and signs, such as cough,dyspnea and wheeze,and the total length of hospital stay of observation group was shorter than that of control group respectively (P<0.01).The clinical effective rate of observation group was 94.1% and that of control group was 77.9%,with the observation group higher than the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Montelukast sodium combined with budesonide can improve the lung function of children with cough variant asthma and has good clinical efficacy.关键词
