Abstract
Objective To investigate the status of patient’s privacy protection in gynecological nursing and explore pro-tection countermeasures for privacy. Methods One hundred patients visited gynecological department in Jianye Hospi-tal from July to December 2014 were randomly selected and asked to fill in questionnaires.The related indexes were statistically analyzed in order to obtain the differences of privacy awareness by related factors and response of privacy disclosure. Results Among all these 100 investigated participants,there were statistical differences in privacy awareness and privacy disclosure by varied ages,educational level,and marital history (P<0.05).The way to give away privacy had no significant difference (P>0.05).Privacy awareness was stronger in patients under 35 years old,college or above,and unmarried.Those who were under 35 years old,college or above,and married had stronger protection measures sense at the occurrence of privacy disclosure.The common ways to give away privacy were in inquiring medical history (45.00%), communication between physician and nurse (28.00%),nursing performance (22.00%),and clinical diagnosis and treat-ment (13.00%). Conclusion During gynecological nursing,medical staff should respect patient’s personal dignity,take protection measures on privacy,and consider privacy protection as a habit and responsibility in order to avoid occur-rence of medical disputes.关键词
