Abstract
Objective To analyze the clinical effect of glass fiber post with resin core and metal cast post core on re-pairing maxillary premolars. Methods From January 2011 to January 2014,100 patients (100 teeth) visited our stoma-tology department for residual root and crown in maxillary premolars were selected.They were evenly and randomly di-vided into observation group and control group.In the observation group,glass fiber post with resin core for repairing was used,while in the control group,metal cast post core for repairing was applied.The periodontal tissues,crown marginal adaptation,mobility degree of crown,and X-ray in one-year further consultation were observed.The clinical effect after repair was compared in the two groups. Results The success rate of repairing in the observation group was 100.0%, which was much higher than that in the control group accounting for 86.0% with a statistical difference (P<0.05).In one-year clinical further consultation after repair,2 cases were occurred with post core fracture and another 2 ones with post core loosening or falling.The incidence was 8.0% after repair,which was much lower than that in the control group accounting for 18.0% with a statistical difference (χ2=5.112,P<0.05). Conclusion In comparison with the metal cast post core,glass fiber post with resin core obtains a good effect on repairing residual root and crown of maxillary premo-lars in a low fracture rate of tooth root and high crown marginal adaptation,and also intensifies the degree of beautiful appearance,which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.关键词
