Study on root cause analysis method to reduce venous transfusion reaction in elderly patients

Abstract
Objective:To study the practice effect of root cause analysis (RCA)to reduce the venous transfusion reactions in elderly patients.Methods:A total of 27 cases of elderly patients with venous transfusion reaction were selected from January 2012 to April 2014,and the root cause analysis method was used to compare the ve-nous transfusion reaction rate and patients'satisfaction before and after the implementation of RCA.Results:Be-fore the implementation of RCA,the intravenous infusion reaction rate (22.2%)was significantly lower than that after the implementation of RCA (3.7%),P<0.05;And before the implementation of RCA,the patients' satisfaction (70.4%)was significantly lower than that after the implementation of it (93.6%),P < 0.05,the difference is statistically significant.Conclusion:To construct RCA team,and analyze the reasons of venous transfusion reaction and make improvement measures at the same time can reduce venous transfusion reaction rate and improve patients’satisfaction.关键词
