Abstract
Lexical metaphor and grammatical metaphor are respectively compared with indi-rect speech act in pragmatics. Results show that lexical metaphor is connected with indi-rect speech act in terms of their understanding mechanism and semantic structure, and that lexical metaphor and indirect speech act are different in meaning, context and func-tion. Based on the idea that systemic-functional grammar and pragmatics complement each other, it is proposed that interpersonal metaphor and indirect speech act help each other with meaning, context and necessity. Moreover, analyzed from the perspective of indirect speech act, interpersonal metaphor features double meaning.关键词
