Abstract
Objective To test the expression of E-cadherin and Ezrin in normal cervical epithelium, CIN and cervical cancer, and to investigate the role of E-cadherin and Ezrin in the progress of cervical cancer. Methods Immunohistochemical SP method was used to detect the expression of E-cadherin and Ezrin in 46 cases of cervical cancer,19 cases of CIN Ⅱ~Ⅲ,21 cases of CIN Ⅰ,and 20 cases of normal cervical epithelium tissues, and their clinical significance analyzed. Results In the normal cervical epithelium,CIN Ⅰ,CIN Ⅱ~Ⅲand cervical cancer, the cell membrane positive expression rate of E-cadherin were 95. 0%,85. 7%,68. 4%, 43. 5%, and the expression was gradually decreased or missing. There was significant difference among them (P<0. 001),while the expression in cytoplasm was gradually increased. Oppositely, the cytoplasm positive expression rates of Ezrin were 10. 0%,28. 6%,47. 4%,73. 9%,and the expression was gradually increased. There also was significant difference among them(P<0. 001). In cervical cancer, the expressions of Ezrin and E-cadherin were negative correlation(r =0. 458,P <0. 001). The expression of Ezrin and E-cadherin was significantly associated with tumor differention and lymphnode metastasis. Nevertheless, there was no significant association with clinical stages and age. Conclusion In CIN and cervical cancer, the expression of E-cadherin in cell membrane is gradually decreased or missing. However, Ezrin in cytoplasm is gradually increased, therefore E-cadherin and Ezrin may both participate in cervical cancer.关键词
