Abstract
Scholars have successively put forward "Cognitive Pragmatic Working Model" ,"Relevance - integration Model of Humor" and "Cognitive Mechanisms of Contextual assumption - integration in Verbal Humor" on the cognitive mechanisms of verbal humor interpretation .This paper points out the drawbacks of the last mechanism based on previous studies ,and probes further into this new cognitive mechanism ,holding that the simple combination of Conceptual integration and Rele-vance - inference would not result in a blended space with an emergent structure and the humors when addressees interpret humors ,and it also depends on Violation ,Normality and Simultaneity in Violation - Normality Theory to verify whether the humor can be successfully conducted or not .关键词
