Interpretation of Novel Metaphors
摘要
Abstract
A novel metaphor ,characterized with individuality ,instantaneity ,anomaly and interpretability ,is a defamiliarized linguistic expression deliberately produced by an individual whose cognition has been structured in accordance with a particu‐lar socially -situated context .The meaning of a novel metaphor can be retrieved by virtue of relevance ,dynamic context and intention .Abductive reasoning ,triggered by relevant events ,is conducive to verifiability of interpreting novel metaphors .关键词
