Abstract
Objective To study the influence of process optimization on efficiency of neurosurgery operation room. Methods Measures of process optimization including appropriate application of resources in operation room, identification of critical time point, establishing an operation supply support team, cards with doctors’ preference were developed and their influence on the efficiency of operation room was evaluated. Results Punctuality rate of skin incision was improved from 45.3% to 86.5% and the convergence time for the surgery was shortened about 8 min to 11 min. Average operations for nurses increased from 100.05 to 114.29 and mean time for operation cooperation everyday decreased from 615.5 min to 585.5 min. Both doctors and patients were more satisfied with the operation. Conclusion Measures in process optimization benefits the improvement of efficiency in operation room.关键词
