Attitude toward, Knowledge and Skill of High-Alert Medication Exosmosis of Head Nurse

Abstract
Objective To understand the knowledge and skill of, attitude toward high-alert medication exosmosis of head nurses and to provide evidence for the enhancement of nursing risk management and promote nursing quality improvement. Methods A self-designed questionnaire of knowledge and skill of, attitude toward high-alert medication exosmosis was applied to investigate 47 head nurses, the data of which were analyzed through SPSS 16.0. Results The average accuracy rates for attitude, skill and knowledge were 99%, 75% and 23% respectively and the weighted total average accuracy rate was 70%. The average accuracy rates for the recognition of head nurses were not bound up with their ages, educational backgrounds, professional titles and service length. Conclusion Head nurses, as risk managers and quality controllers, have correct attitude toward high-alert medication exosmosis but without adequate knowledge and skills. It is recommended that head nurses should focus on the improvement of practical skills and knowledge.关键词
