Abstract
Objective To reveal the research status, hotspots and frontiers in the field of chronic disease self-management, to provide evidence for further research. Methods With bibliometrics, co-word analysis, cluster analysis and visualization methods, the literature on chronic disease self-management was analyzed. Results Recent ten years witnessed exponential growth in the volume of publications in self-management, and publications of United States and England accounted for 75%. It pointed out that internet-based self-management and telemedicine methods for patients were the research hotspots. Research frontiers mainly focused on the comparisons of clinical outcomes in patients by different intervention methods. Besides, self-management for patients combining multiple diseases has also been exploring. Conclusion Self-management has attracted great concern by more and more researchers, comparison of different self-management approaches and patients complicated with many diseases should be focused in the further research.关键词
