橡皮障开口器在牙周翻瓣术患者口角牵拉中的应用
Effect of Rubber Dam OraI Lip Opener Combined with Mouth Mirror in PeriodontaI FIap Surgery

Abstract
Objective To discuss the effect of rubber dam oral lip opener combined with mouth mirror in periodontal flap surgery. Methods Ninety-two patients undertaking periodontal flap surgery were involved. The surgery was conducted for two times in terms of the left and right sides with an interval of one week. The study was designed as a self-control study with the surgeries of the left side and the right side set as experimental group and control group randomly. For experimental group, rubber dam oral lip opener and mouth mirror were used for oral lip opening, while for control group only mouth mirror was used. The time duration of the surgery, postoperative comfort, the incidence and degree of the traumatic angular cheilitis immediately and one week post-surgery were recorded and compared. ResuIts The time duration of the surgery in experimental group was shorter than that of control group ( t=14.313, P<0.01) and patients felt more comfortable in experimental group (Z=6.808, P<0.01). The degree of traumatic angular cheilitis immediately and one week post-surgery in experimental group was lower than those in control group ( P<0.01). ConcIusion Rubber dam oral lip opener combined with mouth mirror can provide better visibility for the dentists, shorten the surgery duration, improve the comfort of the patients, and decrease the degree of the traumatic angular cheilitis, thus being a good instrument for dental clinic.关键词
