Study on Integration and Association in the Field of Technology：Analysis of the International Patent Classification Based on United States Patent

Abstract
Having selected a sample of 158831 United States patents in recent years, using the Jaccard index this paper analyzes the strength of the association of the International Patent Classification quantitatively. This paper analyzes the association network of the Inter-national Patent Classification through social network analysis software UCINET, and reveals the structure, composition and complex rela-tionships of association network vividly. The empirical study has shown the following results: association of the International Patent Classi-fication exists and the association strength is different; the association of International Patent Classification displays a clear hierarchy fea-tures; and the association of International Patent Classification presents the cross, penetration, fusion and integration among various techni-cal fields.关键词
