Abstract
The ultra-low formaldehyde resin was used for shrink-proof finish on cotton fabric. The effects of the dosage of resin, dosage of catalyst, pH, baking temperature and time on the shrinkage ratio, bursting strength, formaldehyde content, and chromatic light was analyzed through the experiment to obtain the optimum process. The results showed that the optimum shrink-proof finishing process of cotton fabric, ultra-low formaldehyde resin Reacel BA 60 40 g/L, catalyst MgCl2·H2O 20%(on the weight of resin), pH 4.5, baked at 175℃for 60 s, was achieved. The cotton fabric finished under optimum process, shrinkages of both weft-wise and warp-wise is less than 3%, formaldehyde content is less than 75×10-6, busting strength is controlled within 300 N, and it is still considered acceptable for processing and wearing performance.关键词
