Abstract
Objective To analyze the age, gender and disease composition characteristics of the hospitalization elderly malignant tumor patients, providing a reference for prevention and treatment of elderly malignant tumor. Methods Retrieval of the first admitted elderly malignant tumor patients whose age was 60 and above of Sichuan Cancer Hospital from 2009 to 2013, U-sing excel software for data collection and analysis of these patients. Results There were 17498 cases of the elderly malignant tumor patients whose age was 60 and above. They accounted for 40. 70% of the total number of hospitalization malignant tumors patients. The ratio of male to female was 1. 85:1. The top five malignant tumor diseases were lung cancer, esophageal cancer, stomach cancer, rectal cancer and cervical cancer,which accounted for 57. 01% of the total elderly patients. In addition to the bladder cancer, the patient number peak of every type of cancer were 60-64 years old, and 75% of the patients were concentrated before the 75 years old. As the growth of the age, the number of patients decreased significantly. Conclusion The proportion of the elderly malignant tumor patients accounted for the total malignant tumor patients were high. The number of male patient were more than female patients. 75% of patients were before the age of 75 when they were be diagnosed. Lung cancer was for the first place, followed by digestive system malignant tumors. These characteristics can be used for planning more targeted prevention and treatment strategies of the elderly malignant tumor patients .关键词
