明清时期太湖东村的兴起及其村落形态
THE ORIGIN AND MORPHOLOGY OF DONGCUN VILLAGE OF SUZHOU IN THE MING AND QING DYNASTIES
摘要
Abstract
Dongcun Vilage is the ancient vilage of Xishan island on Taihu. It embodied the rich information on economic, cultural and military. This paper studies the rising vilage morphology since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, on the basis of field investigation and combined with literature. The rising of Dongcun is closely linked with the business group and the development of Taihu shipping. The morphology of the vilage is not only based on the consideration of Feng Shui, but also had the function reflecting real environment. In order to defense the banditry, the street structure and architecture of Dongcun vilage together formed the defense system,which also had unique vilage environment. Al these makes it an important specimen to study the traditional vilages in the south of Yangtze River.关键词
