Abstract
With the rapid development of economic globalization , the contradiction between supply and demand for energy in the world is becoming prominent .The conventional energy already cannot satisfy human needs and uncon-ventional energy exploration and development is imminent .Shale gas is unconventional natural gas , and it exists in the mud, shale or high carbon mud, shale as adsorption or free state.It is characterized by clean and enormous re-serves .The United States and Canada has made the successful commercial exploitation of shale gas , which effective-ly relieves the contradiction between supply and demand of conventional energy sources .Through comparing the geo-chemical condition of mud and shale formations in China with that of five shale gas system in United States , we can make conclusion that the initial shale gas yield of two sets of shale in southern Sichuan basin can match with the Devonian Ohio shale gas of Appalachian basin in the United States .It is believed that China has considerable shale gas reservoir .In recent years , China has being actively made some prospecting and exploration of shale gas .But the lack of core technology , singleness of investment , and poor infrastructure restrict the commercial exploitation of shale gas in China .关键词
