摘要

Abstract

There are many problems, include environment influence, difficult to maintain, need ancillary devices in using automatic sensor to measure water level, like float-type level gauge, pressure-type stage gauge, radar-type level gauge etc. This paper provides a method that it captures the image of water level by camera from a gauge, then uses Hough transformation to recognize and count the number of graduation after deal the image with the way of edge detection, gray stretching and binarization, in the end conducts the water level value. Using this method, the devices is easily to install, can save cost, and has high precision, so it is suitable to apply in water level and gate position measurement.
