Analysis of Residents'Income Gap Between Time and Space Evolution:Based on the Theil Index

Abstract
Since the reform and opening-up policy, the urban and rural residents income gap takes on expanding trend with the living standard of the peoplewho live in the eastern region being much higher than that in the western region, which had an incentive effect on the appropriate income gap, but it is also not conductive to the economic growth when that gap is too large, so it is particularly important to find out the source of the gap.The decomposition results show that the gap mainly comes from the town and country, and the contribution from the rural and urban areas is relatively low.The region decomposition results show that the income gap is mainly derived from the interior and the contribution from the middle and western regions is small.This provides reference inmaking economic policies for the countries to narrow the gap.关键词
