Abstract
Polyoxymethylene dimethyl ethers (DMMn) were synthesized by the condensation of methanol and trioxymethylene. The catalysts for above reaction were screened from various solid acids, metallic oxides, ion-exchange resins and molecular sieves, in a high-pressure reactor. Some molecular sieve catalysts which showed high activities were characterized by means of pyridine adsorption IR and BET. The reaction conditions were investigated also. The results showed that molecular sieve HMCM-22 had high activity and the best selectivity to DMM2-8. Under the optimum reaction conditions: molar ratio of methanol to trioxymethylene of 1.5:1, mass ratio of catalyst to feedstock of 3%, and reaction at 150℃for 8 hours, the selectivity to DMM2-8 was up to 63.35%.关键词
