New wavelet-based adaptive threshold filtering algorithm for SAR images
摘要
Abstract
An adaptive threshold estimation algorithm based on the generalized Gaussian distribution(GGD)model of wave⁃let coefficients for coherent speckle noise reduction in SAR images is proposed in this paper. Statistical distributiong properties of SAR image wavelet coefficients through logarithmic transformation are analyzed and then the new sub⁃band adaptive threshold estimation method is proposed. The method is applied to speckle noise reduction in SAR image by using logarithmic transforma⁃tion. Experiments on test and real SAR image demonstrate that the method is computationally more efficient,and displays better noise removal while protecting the detail features and the backscattering properties of SAR image.关键词
