Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the predictive value of serum human epididymis protein (HE4) with CA125 for extrauterine metastasis in endometrial carcinoma. Methods:The data of 327 cases with endometrial carcinoma were analyzed retrospectively. The levels of HE4 and CA125 were detected in 327 patients to analyze the relationship between HE4 and CA125 and clinical pathologi-cal parameters in order to calculate the diagnostic evaluation index. Receiver operator curves(ROC) was also drawn for each tumor marker and for combination. Result:The serum levels of HE4 and CA125 in 327 patients were positively correlated with myometrial invasion, size of tumor, tumor grade,FIGO stage and extrauterine mestastasis (P<0. 01). Of the two biomarkers,serum HE4 showed higher sensitivity of 57. 81% in the detection for extrauterine mestastasis of endometrial cancer,and the combination of HE4 and CA125 can improve the sensitivity to 79. 68%. The receiver operating characteristic area under the curve ( ROC-AUC ) of single detection of serum HE4 and CA125 was 0. 740 and 0. 714 respectively,while the joint detection was improved to 0. 810 (P<0. 001). Conclusion:The combination of serum HE4 and CA125 seems to be a better predictor than single detection in the extrauterine metastasis of endometrial carcinoma.关键词
