Abstract
BACKGROUND: Finite element analysis can simulate the orthodontic treatment method, and perform biomechanical analysis on the model, so this method is considered as an important and new orthodontic biomechanics analysis method. OBJECTIVE: To analyze the stress distribution of mandibular micro-implant and the surrounding teeth in intermaxil ary METHODS: A 24-year-old female volunteer with complete dentition (without the third molar), normal occlusion, posterior teeth neutral jaw, and without temporomandibular joint disorder symptoms or lesions was selected. Spiral CT was used to perform head CT tomography on the volunteer with closed position. The Ansys software with the combination of various kinds of software was used to establish the three-dimensional finite element models of temporomandibular joint, mandible, mandibular dentition and micro-implant, in order to simulate and analyze the effects of clinical intermaxil ary and surrounding teeth. The force of 1 N was loaded on the models according to different directions. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The three-dimensional finite element models had good geometric similarity. During intermaxil ary premolar, the planting nail on the mandibular was located between the second premolar and first molar. The stress on the firs molar was larger than that on the second molar, while the stress on the second premolar periodontal ligament was larger than that on the first molar periodontal ligament. During intermaxil ary the planting nail on the maxil ary was located between the second premolar and the first molar, while the planting nail on the mandibular was located between the canine and the first premolar. The stress on the mandibular canine and its periodontal ligament was larger than that on the mandibular first premolar. The stress distribution on the micro-implants and the surrounding teeth during the intermaxil ary traction was varied slightly.关键词
