Abstract
Objective To observe the characteristics of left ventricular (LV) endocardial and epidcardial rotation by two-dimensional speckle tracking imaging (2D-STI), and to evaluate the dif erent rotation in diastolic heart failure patients (DHF). Methods Sixty-four consecutive clinical y stable patients were enrol ed in this study. High frame rate dynamic two-dimensional images were recorded at the left ventricular short-axis view. Endocardial and epidcardial rotation angle were measured using Q-lab7.0 software of line. Results In al the subjects, the rotation of the endocardium was obviously greater than that of epicardium. In the apical plane, endocardial rotation was signi?cantly lower in heart failure groups than that in controls. Conclusion The rotation of the endocardium was obviously greater than that of epicardium. endocardial rotation was signi?cantly lower in DHF patients. Although LV ejection fraction in DHF patients was normal, the systolic function is impaired in DHF patients.关键词
