Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical ef icacy of thymopentin (TP-5) combined with pirarubicin (THP), fluorouracil (5-Fu), leucovorin (LV)and cisplatin (DDP)(LFTP chemotherapy regimen)in the treatment of advanced colorectal cancer. Methods Seventy-six patients with advanced colorectal cancer were randomly divided into group A and B. The 40 patients in group A were treated with TP-5 combined with LTFP regimen. The 36 cases in group B were treated with LTFP regimen alone. The pre-and post-chemotherapy tumor volume, blood count, liver function, T cel s, NK cel s, and C3 change were measured. Results TP-5 combined with LTFP regimen can improve the patients’symptoms, reduce the decrease of WBC and PLT. Also, fibrocolonoscope, barium meal, and MRI demonstrated the diminution of tumor volume, and the cel ular immune function proved to be elevated by accommodation of C3 level and NK cytoactive. There was an obvious dif erence of clinical ef icacy between the 2 groups ( <0.01). Conclusion TP-5 is a safe and reliable immunopotentiating agent in combination treatment with LETP regimen for the patients with advancedcolorectal cancer.关键词
