利用边界能量的高压直流线路纵联保护方案
A Pilot Protection Scheme for HVDC Transmission Lines Based on Boundary Energy

Abstract
According to the specific boundary structure characteristics of the smoothing reactors of high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission lines, a pilot protection scheme based on the ratio of transient energy within specified frequency at both sides is proposed. The method can distinguish line fault from normal operations by calculating the value of transient energy at both terminals of the HVDC transmission line. When internal faults occur, the measured value at the valve side of smoothing reactor is higher at both terminals than the one at the line side; and the different result can be induced for external faults. On this condition, faulted pole can be identified by the measured value accurately. The proposed scheme can be implemented with high reliability and sensitivity. And it is insensitive to the sampling frequency and data synchronization. Comprehensive simulation experiments have shown that this method can identify the fault quickly and accurately under different fault conditions with high fault resistance.关键词
