The Improved Deadbeat Predictive Current Control Method for Single-phase PWM Rectifiers

Abstract
Deadbeat current control of pulse width modulation (PWM) rectifiers can quickly and accurately track the given current signal. However, the influence of inductance parameters and control delay can result in AC current distortion, increasing current harmonics and even instability of the system. To solve the above problems, this paper proposed an improved deadbeat current algorithm, deduced the discrete transfer function of a single-phase PWM rectifier, and analyzed the influence of inductance parameter and sample time on control system’s stability and dynamic performance. Put the improved deadbeat current control method in the double-loop system, which can effectively reduce triple-frequency harmonics and total harmonic distortion (THD) of grid current and eliminate the current distortion. The entire system achieves to control the DC bus voltage precisely in outer DC bus voltage control. The simulation and experimental results prove the validity of the theoretical analysis and feasibility of the mentioned current control method.关键词
