Abstract
Objective:To analyze the distribution equality of health workers in Shandong Province in 2013. Methods:The equality of health workers between and within cities,between and within stratum(rural and urban) were calculated by decomposition of Theil index.Results:The overall TheilL were 0.150 8,0.151 3 and 0.203 2, respectively;while the overall TheilT for health professionals,doctors and nurses were 0.169 7,0.167 5 and 0.228 9, respectively. The inequality within city was over 69% and the inequality within stratum was over 61% based on TheilL and TheilT.Conclusion:The distribution equality of nurses was worse compared to health professionals and doctors and hence building nurse team is suggested to be enhanced. The distribution inequality of health workers was mainly explained by within-city or within-stratum inequalities. Therefore,it is suggested that trying to handle the within-city or within-stratum inequalities be put in the first place.关键词
