摘要

Abstract

Objective:To summarize the recent development of interleukin-8 and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)effects on intervertebral disk degeneration. Method:The related literatures were reviewed and the main achievements studies in the fields were summarized. Result:IL-8 induced vascular endothelial cell growth in tumor tissue,but the exactly mode and mechanism of IL-8 in IVDD was not unknown. As a stimulator of angiogenesis,VEGF induced vascular endothelial cell growth,whether IL-8 and VEGF express the function in Inter vertebral disk degeneration and its mechanism is not known fully well. Conclusion:IL-8 and VEGF have effect on promoting angiogenesis,and the concrete function need to further clarify. Whether can use this to promote the generation of new blood vessels in the intervertebral disk,increase blood circulation,improve the nucleus pulposus cell nutrition,so to treat,slow down or reverse the process of IVDD. Whether as one of the indicators to evaluate the patients prognosis needs further reserch. And the specific mechanism of IL-8 and VEGF is not clear,whether there is interaction needs further research.
