Abstract
Objective To observe the expression of SOX2 in colorectal carcinoma and explore its clinico⁃pathological significance. Methods Samples were collected from 150 patients with colorectal carcinoma. Im⁃munohistochemistry of LASB was used to detect the expression of SOX2, and real time RT-PCR was used to de⁃tect the expression of SOX2 in the remaining 3 samples to analyze the relationship of expression of SOX2 with colorectal carcinomas. Results The SOX2 was found to be expressed in nuclear of colorectal carcinomas and ma side tissue (8%) . SOX2 mRNA levels in colorectal carcinoma tissue was 2.5 to 15 fold higher than that in carcinoma side tissue. By statistical analysis , the expression levels of SOX2 in colorectal carcinoma were not correlated with clinical pathological characteristics , such as age, gender and volume(P>0.05) . but correlated with the infiltration depth, metastasis, and Dukes’stages (P<0.01). Conclusion The expression of SOX2 is stronger in colorectal carcinoma than in carcinoma side tissue. The expression of SOX2 in colorectal carcinoma is correlated with some characteristics of clinical pathology.关键词
