Hearing Preservation During Acoustic Neurinoma Resection

摘要
Abstract
Objective To study the possibility of hearing preservation during resection of acoustic neurinoma. Methods A retrospective case review at the Department of Otolaryngology, PLA General Hospital, was conducted on patients that un⁃derwent resection of acoustic neurinoma from 2000 through 2012 with attempts to preserve hearing. Result Of the 32 pa⁃tients in this review, hearing was preserved in 14 (43.8%), with 5 showing class A hearing, 5 showing class B hearing, 3 showing class C hearing and 1 showing class D hearing. Conclusion Hearing preservation during acoustic neuroma surgery can be successful and offered as a realistic treatment option for patients with acoustic neurinoma.关键词
