儿童简捷-RECD与常规-RECD对照研究
A Comparison of Easy-RECD and Regular RECD in Children

Abstract
Objective The purpose of this study was to identify a suitable procedure for pediatric RECD measurement by comparing Easy-RECD (Real Ear to Coupler Difference) and Regular-RECD, and differenc-es between the left and right ears. Methods Twenty-eight hearing impaired children using hearing aids partici-pated in this study (age ranging from 4 to 7 years). All the participants were tested with the Oticon Easy RECDTM and Interacoustics AffinityTM to obtain Easy-RECD and Regular-RECD results for audiometric frequencies of 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4 and 6 kHz. Results 1) Analyses showed no significant differences between Easy-RECD and Regular-RECD results for all the frequencies except 0.5 and 2 kHz (p>0.05). 2) No significant differences were observed in Easy-RECD and Regular-RECD results between the left and right ears by paired T-test (P>0.05). Conclusions (1) Easy-RECD is a rapid RECD test for young children. (2) As there are no significant differences between the left and right ears, Easy-RECD can be used in young children who have difficulties to cooperate in bilateral ear testing.关键词
