闲暇生活教育有助于新生代农民工闲暇意识的培养、辅纠闲暇异化现象、填补闲暇教育空白、促进人的全面发展、健全终身教育体系。城市居民的闲暇生活促进新生代农民工观念潮流化、目的个体化、内容实用性、技能现实性。湖南省新生代农民工在闲暇观念、闲暇技能、闲暇个人素质、闲暇政策及法律保障等方面都存在教育需求。
