Abstract
Objective To evaluate the correlation between compliance and the attitude to orthodontic treatment of patients and their parents. Methods Seventy nine patients undergoing fixed orthodontic treatment and their parents were randomly se-lected in the study. Before treatment and 6 months afte treatment, the patients and their parents were requested to fil in a ques-tionare designed to assess the correlation between patients' compliance and the attitude to orthodontic treatment. Results Be-fore treatment the compliance of patients was not correlated with the attitude of their parents(P >0.05), Six months after the treat-ment, the attitude to treatment of both patients and parents were significantly correlated with compliance of patients (P<0.05). Conclusion The positive perception of orthodontic treatment both for patients and their parent can enhance the compliance of pa-tients.关键词
