Abstract

The isolation performance of raft can be improved greatly in low frequency range when air spring isolators are adopted. But three-phased low-frequency large deformation of the isolation component will deteriorate its three-phased dynamic balance. How to keep raft attitude balance becomes a challenging technical problem for soft isolation systems. In this paper, the factors influencing on raft attitude were given in detail based on the analysis of disturbance sources of the raft system. The feasibility of keeping raft attitude balance through adjusting the pressure in the air spring was studied. The analysis results show that seaway motion, load fluctuation and air spring leakage are the main disturbance sources for raft attitude balance, and the controlling approach of adjusting the pressure in the air spring for raft attitude balance is proved valid.
