Abstract
According to the working pattern and principle of magnetorheological(MR) elastomer, a new type of the ship’ s isolator with the magnetorheological elastomer was designed. The magnetorheological elastomer works in shear and compression state. Using the classical theory, the dimensions of the isolator were calculated. The static and dynamic mechanical properties were analysed by means of finite element method. Then the dynamic mechanical properties were tested at different current. The results show that the designed structure of the magnetorheological elastomer isolator is reasonable. And the dynamic stiffness increases as the current increasing. As the current reaches 2A, the dynamic stiffness increases slowly. Therefore, the isolator has excellent magnetorheological effect.关键词
