Numerical Prediction Method for Stern Vibration of Refitting Naval Ships

Abstract
Numerical prediction of hull vibration, including stern vibration and superstructures vibration, is one of the important problems in warships refitting. With the prediction, we can evaluate whether the vibration levels satisfy naval ship specifications. False prediction can lead to performance declination or reduce the warships to scrap. Taking an imported destroyer as an example, the procedure and method of general numerical prediction of hull vibration for naval ships were proposed. The problems of selection of finite element model types of hull structures, determination of voyage conditions, velocity tuning technology for vibration loads, demands on parameters of vibration measurements on the original ships, modification of structural dynamic models of the hull structure, and the evaluation of vibration levels according to the specifications were discussed. The verification of the proposed procedure was presented using experimental and numerical methods.关键词
