Prediction of Traffic Noise at Road Intersections under Different Control Modes

摘要

Abstract

Traffic noise at road intersections under different control modes was predicted based on the vehicle emission model of different operating status. The intensities of pass-by emission noise sources of large-, medium- and small-sized single vehicles were measured respectively under the operating conditions of idle, cruise, accelerating and slow-down. The vehicle noise emission model under different operating status was established with the method of regression analysis. Taking a signalized intersection as an example, the applicability of this model was proved by computer simulation. Then, the vehicle noise emission model was applied to the noise simulation of intersections under different control modes, such as signalized, non-signalized and roundabout intersections. By comparing the average noise values and the noise distributions of intersections under different traffic flow, some special characteristics and differences of traffic noise of intersections under different control modes were obtained.
