Abstract

With the rapid development of engineering machinery industry and the increasing of national awareness of environmental protection, higher requirements for comfort and noise control of engineering machinery were proposed. The noise source identification is the priority of noise control. In this paper, taking an excavator as the sample object of the engineering machinery, its noise source characteristics was analyzed. The traditional identification methods and the identification methods based on sound source were briefly introduced. The identification method based on digital signal processing was elaborated in the aspects of theory and application. The advantages and disadvantages and applications of these identification methods were summarized. It is found that the identification method based on digital signal processing has obvious advantages in noise source identification for engineering machinery.
