Abstract
Objective:To investigate clinical significance of OX40 Ligand (OX40L) on peripheral blood lymphocytes and increased coexpression of soluble OX40L (sOX40L) in serum and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) in patients with acute coronary syndromes.Methods:Forty control and 120 patients,including 40 with stable angina (SA),47 with unstable angina (UA) and 33 with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) enrolled in this study. Expression of OX40L on peripheral blood lymphocytes was analyzed by flow cytometry and sOX40L levels were measured by ELISA.MMP-9 in serum was determined by ELISA.Results:(1)Expression of OX40L on peripheral blood lymphocytes in UA and AMI patients were significantly higher than in SA patients and controls (P<0.01),while no significant difference was found between SA and controls(P>0.05).(2)The serum levels of sOX40L in UA and AMI patientswere significantly higher than in SA patients and controls(P<0.01).SOX40L levels in SA showed no significant increase when compared to controls. (3)MMP-9 in serum in UA and AMI patients were higher than in SA patients and controls (P<0.01),and the level of MMP-9 had a positive correlation with sOX40L level(r=0.62,P<0.001).Conclusion:Expression of OX40L on peripheral blood Lymphocytes,sOX40L and MMP-9 serum concentration are elevated in patients with ACS.MMP-9 level has a positive correlation with sOX40L in serum.It suggest that increased coexpression of serum MMP-9 and sOX40L may represent markers for coronary disease activity.关键词
