Abstract
It is enlightened that Verschueren`s mode of contextual adaptability about communicative partners ex-plains the facts and psychological characteristics in the process of communication and language choice.Translation is a kind of communication,even a cross -cultural communication.Expletive is an integral part of language with its particular language functions.Based on the enlightenment of Verschueren`s mode of contextual adaptability, translation mode of contextual adaptability is constructed and proved to be scientific and practical in translation by the pragmatic analysis of the expletives of Hongloumeng translated by Hawks.And this theory offers a very good theoretical way in judging true or false in choice of translation strategies or methods.关键词
