Abstract
In order to research the limit of the rapid diagnostic strip to detect buffalo antibodies against Schistosoma japonicum ,the strip was used to detect the anti-schistosome antibodies of 10 experimental buffalo.The results showed that six experimental buffalo (the number 1,2,4,6,7 and 9 )had anti-schis-tosome antibodies after infection with schistosome cercaria 4 weeks,four experimental buffalo(the number 3,5,8 and 10)had antibodies after infection 5 weeks.The anti-schistosome antibodies of three experimen-tal buffaloes (the number 1,3 and 8)could not be detected after treatment with praziquantel for 16 weeks, four experimental buffalo (the number 2,5,6 and 10)could not be detected after treatment 20 weeks,and the others could not be detected after treatment 24 weeks.The results suggested that the anti-schistosome antibodies in buffalo could be detected after infection 4 weeks;all buffalo could be detected in 5 weeks.The anti-schistosome antibodies in buffalo sera could not be detected after treatment 16 weeks;all anti-schisto-some antibodies could not be detected after treatment 24 weeks.It is declared that the best time of rapid di-agnostic strip for animal schistosomiasis (RDSAS)used to early diagnosis of schistosomiasis is after infec-tion 4 to 5 weeks,the assessable therapeutic effect of medicine would be carried out after the livestock in-fection with schistosome 6 months late.关键词
