Abstract
The poor design of insulation and the slight defect of process lead to the explosions of the China Southern Power Grid’s 3 grid side bushings in recent years. Therefore, the converter transformer’s bushings have been modified. According to the improved bushing’s below length, cross-sectional area and diameter of grounded flange have been changed significantly, and in order to install the improved bushing into the original interface successfully, the bushing’s ascending flange and current transformer are redesigned in this paper. The two-dimensional axial symmetry models of the bushing and bushing’s ascending flange are given by ANSYS, and the potential distributions of bushing and bushing’s ascending flange are studied. Finally, the improved bushing’s insulation performances are tested. The results of simulation and test show that the new bushing has superiority in terms of insulation performance. The improved bushing and bushing’s ascending flange are running reliably, and the improved bushing have never occurred any insulation fault as yet, therefore, the improvement measures for the bushing are effective. The improvement measures play a guiding role in transformation of the same type of bushings in other HVDC projects.关键词
