摘要

Abstract

This paper is prompted by the need to explore the high efficiency and low energy con-sumption method for cutting coal. This exploration consists of investigating the mechanical properties of duplex point-attack pick synchronously cutting coal; employing ABAQUS, a finite element software to simulate the dynamic process of duplex point-attack pick cutting coal; analyzing the broken form of coal under synchronal action of duplex point-attack pick;and using the fractal theory to analyze the resistance spectrum of synchronous cutting and sequential cutting statistically and thereby evaluating the mechanical properties of duplex point-attack pick synchronously cutting coal. The results show that, the existence of synergistic effect among coal's stress and the interaction of the staggered and additive effects of the adja-cent kerf's crack, aided by the synchronal action of duplex point-attack pick, are beneficial to exfoliating lump coal;within the simulating test range, when the cutting thickness is determined, the box dimension of duplex point-attack pick is governed by a law behind a change from an initial decrease to subsequent increases with an increase in line spacing, suggesting the presence of an optimal line spacing producing the minimum specific energy;similarly, the box dimension of duplex point-attack pick tends to decrease first and then increase with an increase in cutting thickness;and under the same cutting conditions, the maximum of cutting resistance of sequence cutting is about 12 . 3% times greater than that of synchronous cutting , thus allowing the cutting performance of duplex point-attack pick synchronously cutting coal to be improved by a reasonable match between line spacing and cutting thickness. This study may provide a reference basis for the design of high efficiency coal mining machine.
