Research progress of the effect of statin therapy on endothelial progenitor cells
摘要
Abstract
Endothelial progenitor cells (EPC)are immature bone marrow-derived cells that have the ability to differentiate into mature endothelial cells.EPC are involved in the angiogenesis after birth and the healing of endothelial cells of injured vessels.Several studies have demonstrated that the quantity and function of circulating EPC are negatively correlated with the risk factors of cardiovascular diseases.Statin agents has been proven to increase the quantity and enhance the function of EPC,which may contribute to clinical benefits in the treat-ment of cardiovascular diseases.Here,we reviewed the research progress of the effect of statin therapy upon EPC.关键词
