摘要

Abstract

Based on the traditional average dead time compensation methods, this paper proposes a new low-cost online dead-time compensation method which is based on parameter self-tuning. There is a non-linear relationship between the dead time effects and output current. It creates a table according to the nonlinear relationship which can be obtained by parameter self-tuning. The method can be easily implemented by adding compensation voltages to the output reference voltage which is obtained by checking against the table in software. The proposed compensation method is realized with XMC4500 chip of Infineon Corporation. Experimental results demonstrate the feasibility of the dead-time compensation method in 3.7 kW vector controlled asynchronous motor drive system.
