Engineering Forecast Method for the Longitudinal Strength of Ship Hulls Subjected to Underwater Explosion Shock Wave

Abstract
The longitudinal strength of submerged structures subjected to noncontact underwater explosion is a hot topic in national defense. In this paper, employing the Taylor's theory of plates and considering the surface cutoff effect, the coupling pressure in the bottom surface of the ship structure was modified. Then, the theoretical and computational methods were deduced to study the impact bending moment of the simplified elastic ship-hull beam. Finally, the evaluation method of the longitudinal strength of the ship hull subjected to underwater explosion was proposed. The full-scale ship test results verify the correctness of the theoretical method. The corresponding forecast software was developed which provides a means for evaluation and prediction of the longitudinal strength of ship hulls.关键词
