Abstract
Objective To investigate the correlation between the levels of serum PAI-1, Cystatin C and carotid atherosclerosis in type 2 diabetic mellitus (T2DM) patients.Method Detected the levels of serum PAI-1 and Cystatin C with RIA and physiological chemistry in 133 T2DM patients.Results (1) The levels of serum PAI-1 and Cystatin C in patients with carotid atherosclerosis were significantly higher than those in patients without carotid atherosclerosis and control group (P＜0.05).(2) Logistic analysis showed that the levels of serum PAI-1 and Cystatin C were independently related to carotid atherosclerosis in type 2 diabetic mellitus patients (OR=1.133, 1.012E7;P＜0.01).Conclusions PAI-1 and Cystatin C play the important role in carotid atherosclerosis in T2DM patients, which may be the forecast indexes of carotid atherosclerosis in T2DM patients.关键词
