Abstract
Two months before the Eryuan M5 .5 earthquake,mercury observations at 3 stations in the Western Yunnan Earthquake Prediction Study Area show short-term and im-pending anomalies,and there was a synchronous anomalies from three observations.But these mercury observations had their own abnormal form and duration in variation character-istics with the change of epicenter distance,it would have important significance by studying these short-term and impending characteristics to improve the accuracy of future earthquake location and achieve earthquake mitigation effectiveness.关键词
